Scalp Micropigmentation is a semi-permanent solution, typically lasting between 4 to 6 years before noticeable fading. However, the exact duration can vary based on several factors, including your skincare routine, immune system, lifestyle habits, and exposure to UV light.
It is a safe and effective treatment which is also known as a 'cosmetic tattoo', 'medical tattoo' or 'scalp tattoo'. Using a small needle, a technician places thousands of tiny dots into the scalp, each replicating a hair follicle which helps the hair look thicker whether it is shorter or longer hair.
The intensity of pain differs from person to person, and it really depends on their pain threshold, some clients are more sensitive than others, whilst others will sit there and won't feel a thing. If a client is a little more sensitive, to ease pain levels, some clinics will numb the scalp with numbing cream.

You will leave with surgical dressing covering the tattoo site. You may experience some redness on and around the recreated areola, but this will be a short-lived side effect. Following your treatment, the pigment may appear darker than you anticipated, but it will fade substantially as you heal.
2-3 sessions
Typically, clients require 2-3 sessions to achieve the perfect look, spaced a few weeks apart from each other. Most procedures take three sessions but sometimes clients are happy with only two. With some compromised skins, it may take four or more sessions to perfect it.
